TRENCH TRENDY

          Hey buds!
  Beige, black, fitted, loose, crumpled or not, over time the Trench Coat has been nothing but necessary. With the bi polar weather settling in: warm, cold, windy, cloudy, rainy and sunshine (sometimes all in one day), we’re left in a tiny fashion predicament: What To Wear? And look good? The Trench Coat. D’ohh (Homer Simpson Voice). Literally the best fashion invention and mixture of trendy, comfy and chic all jumbled up into one. Seriously, it’s probably the most versatile piece you can own and there’s no wrong style rules when it comes to picking one . Well… maybe there are a few, but fact is the Trench Coat pulls together any style and chances are it will go well with every darn thing in your closet . That being said we were obviously super excited to participate in a winter work wear style blogger challenge.
   Heading to work? Wanna work it in the cold? No worries....we got you boo boo!!

          Jambo!
    It's amazing what you can do with cultural garments when worn out of context. If you love dressing urban, and are a super fan of African heritage, a Dashiki is basically your fashion canvas. There are many versions of the Dashiki that are commonly worn in West Africa from casual day wear to full formal ensembles worn for different ceremonies. A Dashiki is not only comfortable and breezy, the patterns also look cool with a simple outfit.( PS: It can also go from day to night real quick!)

CHASING WATERFALLS

       Winter is upon us. Needless to say we need to come up with as many stylish ways as possible to keep our toochies warm. A waterfall cardigan or coat is practically an every day essential item for the cold season. It is forgiving for many women who like to hide and disguise, but still be stylish and elegant for the most part. This uber-flattering look doesn’t just have to be shunned to your casual closet! Yess there’s no denying that with a cardigan comes much comfort but trust and believe you can rock one, be crazy comfy and still look sassy as hell.

      The asymmetrical hems and uneven cuts on a waterfall gives it such a unique design that makes it a little edgy. The best part is they work well with whichever look you're trying to pull off! Whether you're going to work or going out with the girls.The waterfall effect is also a great alternative to the fitted blazer.
       So to prove this we chose to take two totally different approaches.
